The prototype that was discovered this week in northern Sweden appears to have the final lights and the entire production body. Although it does not appear to be as sleek as the concept, it does appear to be less bulbous than the mechanically related VW ID.5 GTX and Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV. The electric crossover will be made in China at a brand-new VW Group plant in Anhui that will also make MEB-based models. The factory will begin serial production in the second half of 2024 and has a capacity of 350,000 electric vehicles per year.

The Terramar will join the Cupra lineup in 2025, so the Tavascan isn’t the only new model. It is anticipated to be the last new model from the brand with a combustion engine. It will be a plug-in hybrid crossover that will be paired with the Audi Q3 of the next generation. In point of fact, the Four Rings will actually construct it at their Gyr plant in Hungary.
