Only a year has passed since BMW introduced the second-generation model of their 4 Series, yet a facelift is already on the horizon for 2024. New spy shots have emerged, revealing a host of changes in the design that will come with the upcoming model.

Thanks to the folks at Motor, we get a glimpse of the new design through an unofficial rendering that strips away the test vehicle’s camouflage. The standard version, equipped with the M Sport Package, shows off its design with no additional disguise. However, the more powerful M440i comes with extra camouflage that hides its front fascia.

The rendering reveals a new design for the headlights that sports sharper daytime running lights, shaped like boomerangs or arrows. The new design is reminiscent of the 2024 X5 and X6 executions. The front bumper has also undergone some modifications, giving the car a more aggressive look. The same modifications were previously spotted on test vehicles earlier this month.

At the back, the taillights are peeking through the camouflage, showing off a fresh new design. One of the M440i prototypes boasts a matte finish from the Individual catalog called Frozen Portimao Blue, complemented by matching brake calipers.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe is also expected to feature the latest iDrive 8 infotainment system with dual screens, enclosed in a curved piece of glass. The prototype photographed revealed a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen atop the center console, with most functions integrated into the display.

The new 4 Series Coupe is rumored to go into production in March 2024, with an official premiere likely to happen by the end of this year or early next year. The M4 is also undergoing some changes, and the 4 Series Convertible and Gran Coupe are expected to benefit from the same upgrades.
