Ram has unveiled the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept at CES in Las Vegas, which is expected to serve as a preview of the production Ram 1500 EV that is set to hit the roads in 2024. The company claims that the new vehicle will set a new standard in terms of range, towing, payload, and charge time, and will be a direct competitor to the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 EV. While specific details about the truck’s performance and technical specs have not yet been released, it is known that it will feature a dual motor setup, an 800-volt architecture, and the ability to charge at rates of up to 350 kW, adding approximately 100 miles in 10 minutes. The concept also boasts four-wheel steering with up to 15 degrees of articulation and an air suspension with three modes: ingress/egress, aero, and off-road.

Ram has referred to the exterior of the Revolution as "brutiful," a combination of the words brutal and beautiful. The front end and grille feature animated "tuning fork" DRLs and an animated Ram logo, which is expected to be included in the production model. The rear lights and badge are also LED and fully animated. It is uncertain if the concept’s suicide doors will make it to the final production model, but given the flexibility of the flat floor, Ram may consider including them to provide easier access to the interior.

The exterior of the Revolution includes several functional features, such as a powered frunk, door handles, charging port, tailgate, side steps, and rear step. The wheel arches do not protrude into the Rambox, and the fender wells are able to accommodate a 35-inch tire. The concept is equipped with 24-inch wheels with illuminated center caps that remain in place while the car is moving, similar to the design of Rolls-Royce wheels. The vehicle is based on Stellantis’ STLA Frame EV platform, which allowed designers to shift the entire cabin forward and increase the length by four inches while maintaining the same bed length as the standard internal combustion engine 1500.

The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept includes a variety of cabin modes that can be customized to suit the owner’s needs and activities for the day. These modes can adjust various aspects of the vehicle’s interior, such as lighting, seating, windows, suspension, and sound. There are also preset modes available, including Social, Party, Relax, and a user-created option. It is uncertain if all of these features will be included in the final production model. However, it is evident that Ram has taken their time in developing this concept and has drawn inspiration from other ideas while also improving upon them. One of the main concerns for customers is whether Ram will be able to fulfill the promises made by the CEO, especially in regards to the truck’s towing and hauling capabilities.
