Alfa Romeo’s CEO, Jean-Philippe Imparato, has confirmed that the brand will launch a new large electric saloon in 2027. This model will be available globally, including in the UK but it will primarily target the US and Chinese markets due to its size.

The large electric saloon from Alfa Romeo will feature a high-capacity lithium-ion battery for long-range travel and electric motors for instant torque and exhilarating acceleration. This advanced electric powertrain will replace the traditional internal combustion engine.

Alfa Romeo’s electric saloon will carry on the brand’s performance heritage with its powerful engine and agile handling. In order to provide easy access to fast-charging stations, Alfa Romeo is probably going to collaborate with charging networks. The saloon can also encompass regenerative braking, which recovers energy lost all through deceleration and feeds it lower back into the battery.

The premium materials and driver-centric layout of the Alfa Romeo electric saloon’s interior will combine modernism and tradition. It will have a high-resolution digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment display, and comfortable seats with Alcantara or leather upholstery.
